- Start: Gersdorfer Winkel, town of Elstra
- Destination: Ostro, municipality of Panschwitz-Kuckau
The starting point for the hike is Gersdorfer Winkel in the Elstra district of Boderitz. From there, the path leads to the Kälberberg (364 m above sea level) with remains of a hillfort and a summit register, to the Boderitzer Schanze, the mammoth garden in Prietitz, the Schanze in Prietitz, which was probably built in the 10th century as a refuge castle by the Milceni who were then settled in the region, and to the town of Elstra, where the Holland pottery, the market and Elstra Castle are worth seeing and visiting. Afterwards, it continues over the quarry in Rauschwitz into the forest area of the Luchsenburg, where the Hochstein (449 m above sea level) and the source of the Schwarze Elster are passed. The route continues over the Leipsberg to the Ostro Schanze.
The hiking trail is consistently marked with a yellow stripe. There is the possibility to take a shortcut from the Rauschwitz quarry to Kindisch. This eliminates the demanding ascents and descents to the Hochstein and the source of the Schwarze Elster.
