The Wallrundweg in Horn offers visitors the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll around the historic old town. Along the former town fortifications, the path leads past numerous sights and provides interesting insights into the history of the town;
The Wallrundweg in Horn runs for 1.6 km along the old town fortifications.
Starting in the castle courtyard, walk (past the castle to the right) through the wall gate onto the rampart at the back of the castle.
From there, follow the red-paved path/trail and the brown/red Wallrundweg signs, which extend along the entire path. The path leads along the Wiembeke to Mittelstraße, cross it and then follow the Südwall road. From the Südwall, continue left on a small path onto the Wallweg, "Am Wall", along the wall to the Eulenturm, the last town tower from the 15th century. Cross Leopoldstalerstraße and continue along the path to Mittelstraße. On the other side of the path, you can still see the old "Sreckers teich" reservoir and the moat that originally ran around the entire town. The path continues along "Am Wall" back to the starting point at the castle.
