Discover your five senses on the "trail for connoisseurs". The eastern loop of the 95 km hiking trail takes you along the Teutoburg Forest through three towns!

Many surprises are waiting to be discovered along the way. And in between, treat yourself to a rest at exclusive resting places. Have fun!

The first part of the trail promises you pure nature.  Starting from Halle, the route leads you along the Egge river through a magnificent beech forest, where you will find traces of East Westphalian mining. You pass the Jewish Friefhof and reach Werther.  There it is worth visiting the Böckstiegel House or the Storck House. In the direction of Steinhagen, untouched nature, diverse history, fascinating art and important industry await you. First of all, there is the Knochenmühle industrial monument to discover. At the Arminius spring, you reach the "Riechen" rest area. The trail leads past the Kaiser-Friedrich-Gedächtnishütte, a refuge that is often referred to as the Schwedenschanze. The Schwedenschanze is located on the Bußberg in the Teutoburg Forest at an altitude of 306.2 meters. After the descent, you reach Steinhagen. After a detour to the Historical Museum, the "Schmecken" rest area just after Steinhagen invites you to linger. From Jakobsberg you hike to Gottesberg, and from the ridgeway of Hengeberge you can also enjoy the view of the countryside. Shortly before Halle, you will reach the coffee mill, a tempting vantage point. Back in Halle, you can visit the Haller Willem monument and the Museum of Childhood and Youth Works by Important Artists.
