The Tourist Service Bad Schandau on the historic market square (Markt 1-11) is centrally located in the old town and is a popular meeting point for events, guided tours and discovering the town. Getting there is convenient and environmentally friendly - especially by public transport.
By train:
Bad Schandau is easily accessible via the S-Bahn line S1 (Dresden - Schöna) and long-distance trains. From Bad Schandau train station, you can take the ferry across the Elbe directly to the town center in just a few minutes. The ferry connection is barrier-free and runs regularly.
By ferry:
The Elbe ferry connects the station forecourt with the city side and takes you to the market square in just a few minutes on foot.
By Kirnitzschtalbahn or bus:
The historic Kirnitzschtalbahn and several bus lines (VVO) stop close to the town center and make it easy to get almost to the door.
By car:
Those arriving by car will find several public parking spaces within walking distance (e.g. Elbkai, Kirnitzschtalstraße parking lot).
By train:
