New Year's concert with the Salon String Orchestra Dresden

Together with the Salon-Streichorchester Dresden, we warmly welcome you to the new year - now traditionally on the third Sunday in January. In the historic Kaminsaal well-known and lesser-known "Schlager" from the 1930s to 1950s will be played. Many of these classics are actually film scores - the films have often been forgotten, but the music seems to remain forever young.

Founded in 1996, the twelve musicians of the Dresden orchestra delight audiences with danceable salon music in a classical string line-up - complemented by piano, drums and vocals. In addition to the Viennese waltz, they play foxtrot, slow fox, tango and Latin American music.
