The crux of the matter at Rauenstein

Hike
Explorer tour with a certified national park guide
Join us on a discovery tour that begins where the hiking map usually only shows narrow paths. The Rauenstein is far more than just a balcony overlooking the Elbe. It hides places that elude the casual glance and only reveal their history off the main paths. Together, we squeeze through the narrow rocky alleyways of the wild grounds, decipher old rock carvings, discover the legacy of the history of development and get to the heart of the matter. This tour is for all those who not only want to hike, but also want to understand. A search for clues between sandstone, history and the unsolved mysteries of the rock.
