Schlappeseppel restaurant

The first Schlappeseppel beer was allegedly brewed here in 1631 - by a soldier who was called "lame Seppel" due to a war injury. There are justified doubts about the story of the "lame Seppel". But one thing is certain: the Schlappeseppel is the oldest and most traditional pub in Aschaffenburg and well worth a visit. The quaint cult pub has a cozy atmosphere and the menu combines traditional Bavarian fare with hearty Hessian specialties.
And if you want to find out more about the history of Schlappeseppel and the art of brewing beer, you can visit the brewery museum in the building. However, you won't get Schlappeseppel beer here. Faust beer from Miltenberg is served.
