Enjoy the realm of the rock towers

Hercules Columns, Johanniswacht, Kanzelstein: the wild and romantic Bielatal valley is famous for its imposing rock towers that rise out of the forest like abstract sculptures. With hundreds of peaks, the nature reserve in the south of Saxon Switzerland is one of the most beautiful and diverse climbing areas in Europe - as well as a popular hiking paradise with numerous well-signposted trails.

The Ottomühle is a perfect place to stop for a bite to eat during hikes through the idyllic landscape just outside Bohemia. The half-timbered house has stood here for almost 500 years, surrounded by dense forests and mighty rocks. It has been an inn, with interruptions, since 1880 - and a destination for mountain and nature lovers for almost as long. Many a climbing and hiking adventure has been effectively embellished here with beer and Soljanka.

Since 2017, Kathrin and Cornel Ogon have been continuing the history of the traditional inn, which has grown into an ensemble of buildings over time, as tenants and landlords. After lovingly renovating the property, they offer active holidaymakers a quiet guesthouse with bright and friendly rooms as well as holiday flats in various sizes.

The restaurant also shines in new splendour and spoils guests with local, seasonal products. Speciality of the house: Budapest schnitzel - cooked according to the original recipe of Cornel Ogon's Hungarian grandmother!
