Discover a unique cultural landscape, the Oberlausitzer Bergland-Naturpark Zittauer Gebirge. A diverse low mountain range landscape with granite ridges, volcanic peaks, striking sandstone mountains and idyllic villages awaits you. The Upper Lusatian Mountain Trail leads from 200 to 800 m above sea level over 6 stages with a total of 107 km from the pottery town of Neukirch near Bautzen to Zittau, the town at the border triangle.

Itinerary
1st stage Neukirch - Sohland (21 km)
The Oberlausitzer Bergweg begins on the highest mountain in the Oberlausitzer Bergland, the Valtenberg near Neukirch.
Stage 2 Sohland/Spree - Schönbach (16 km)
From the Kälbersteinen and the Bieleboh mountain you have a magnificent view.
Stage 3 Schönbach - Eibau (21 km)
Worth seeing on this stage are the Reiterhaus, the Faktorenhof and the source of the Spree on Mount Kottmar.
Stage 4 Eibau - Waltersdorf (25 km)
This varied stage leads directly into the Zittau Mountains Nature Park. The highest peak, the 792 m high Lausche, can be climbed.
Stage 5 Waltersdorf - Oybin health resort (14 km)
Wonderful views can be enjoyed from the Nonnenfelsen rock in the climatic health resort of Jonsdorf, from the Hochwald forest (749 m) and from the Oybin mountain with its castle and monastery complex.
Stage 6 - Oybin health resort - town of Zittau (18 km)
Along the Neisse, past the Dreiländerpunkt, you reach the historic town of Zittau.
