We are passionate Angus cattle breeders and sell our meat not only on our farm, but also in our vending machine in Rotenburg (Wümme). This is available 24 hours a day, around the clock. There is also another vending machine selling cooked dishes in jars, such as goulash, bolognese sauce, chili con carne and wedding soup. All with our Angus beef, of course. Potatoes, eggs and cheese products from local farmers are also available on site.
Where does the meat come from?
Our farm has existed since the 18th century. In the past, we used to keep cattle, cows, sows and piglets, but now we also keep Angus suckler cows, rearing and fattening the cattle. Today, the herd comprises 60 suckler cows and numerous beef cattle. We work with small regional butchers to slaughter the cattle and process the meat.
How do our cows and cattle live on our farm?
Our cows and cattle are mainly kept outside and in an open or semi-open barn. They are fed what we produce ourselves, such as hay, maize silage and grain.
The suckler cows spend the summer months grazing with their calves and are regularly moved to other pastures. In the winter months, the cows and small calves live in an open stable with a grass area directly on the farm. The large calves are then housed as a group in a spacious, semi-open, straw-covered freestall barn where they are reared and fattened for meat production.
Where else can you buy our Angus meat?
In addition to the meat products on sale, we also offer 10 kg meat packages as well as minced meat, beef heart and beef liver from the farm sale on Saturdays (see website for exact and other dates). Collection is also possible on other dates by arrangement, we have a lot in stock permanently.
