Station of the Cross at Calvary Mountain (in local dialect "jin Kalleberich" - the bare mountain)
Of the once 14 Stations of the Cross that lined the path to Calvary and were erected around 1776, only the 3rd station remained after the explosion disaster of 1949. It stands on the left side under a mighty chestnut tree, directly at the entrance to the right of the street "Am Ölberg." Dr. Dr. Enders, a citizen of Niederprüm, had the station restored, and it was then placed under monument protection.
