Dohna can look back on a long and exciting history. The town church of St Mary's, consecrated in 1489, is one of the interesting witnesses to this history.

The Dohna church is visible from afar due to its exposed location at the highest point of the village in front of the former castle area. The church was built as a three-nave hall church.
