The Remter (dining hall) of the St. Marienstift, which was dissolved in 1810, was demolished for the new building and the demolition material (sandstone) was reused. The school comprised 5 classrooms and 2 reserve classes, which had previously been the teachers' accommodation. There was also a conference room and utility rooms. Due to the large influx of female pupils, the need for space had grown considerably. In 1894, the new school building on Brüningstraße was occupied. Since then, the old girls' school has been the vicarage of St Martin's Church.
