The historic Fürstenberg is the starting point for an eventful short hike. The starting point is the Fürstenberg Old Court, which was built in 1736 and still represents the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the Paderborn region from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Wide views between green fields with a view of the castle of Count von Westphalen, idyllic forest above the Aabach dam and the bubbling Karpke with its small ponds make this circular tour a varied natural and cultural experience.

A44 Dortmund-Kassel, exit in the direction of Lichtenau/Dahlheim. Turn left onto "Dahlheimer Straße". Then turn left again onto "Fürstenberger Straße" - follow this road to Fürstenberg.
Turn left onto "Am Schloßpark" - continue right onto "Am Schloßpark".
A33 Bielefeld/Brilon, exit at the Bad Wünnenberg-Haaren junction, then continue on the B480 towards Bad Wünnenberg. Take the Büren exit in the direction of Fürstenberg/Haaren and follow the signs to Haaren. In Haaren, turn right into "Fürstenberger Straße" and follow this road to Fürstenberg. Turn left onto "Am Schloßpark" - continue right onto "Am Schloßpark".
On the B480 coming from Brilon, take the Bad Wünnenberg exit and follow the signs to Bad Wünnenberg. In Bad Wünnenberg, turn right at the traffic lights into "Mittelstraße". Continue to Fürstenberg. Turn right onto "Am Schloßpark" - continue right onto "Am Schloßpark".
