A discovery tour in the footsteps of the painter Peter August Böckstiegel (1889 - 1951) was offered as part of the Erlebnis.Kreis.GT hiking series. This 7.5 km long tour stops at 10 steles that reflect the life and work of the Westphalian expressionist. The stops also include a visit to his childhood home and the new museum building in Werther-Arrode.

The Museum Peter August Böckstiegel is open from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 12 noon to 6 pm.
Please note: The historic Künstlerhaus can only be visited as part of a guided tour.
Public guided tours of the Künstlerhaus and the museum take place on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 3 pm. The tour costs 3 euros (plus admission) and lasts 90 minutes. Tickets for the guided tours are sold from 2 pm on the day of the event, unfortunately it is not possible to make a reservation. There is a public guided tour of the exhibition in the museum on Wednesdays at 5 pm. This costs 2 euros (plus admission) and lasts 60 minutes. There are no guided tours during the exhibition changeover period.
