The signposted, scenically varied tour takes you through urban and rural areas on an easy, low-traffic route.

This largely rural circular route leads through the varied landscape to the south and west of Herford. From Herford, you first head west into the Füllenbruch nature reserve. Information boards provide information about the flora and fauna here. The route continues through the hilly cultural landscape of Enger, where it passes two impressive Sattelmeier farms. The Sattelmeier of Enger are said to have been companions of Widukind and had a prominent social position in the Middle Ages. Today, the farms are among the largest in the Ravensberg region.

Towards Stedefreund, there are a few climbs and descents waiting to be conquered, so you should have a certain level of fitness for this circular route. On this section, you ride through several stream valleys before crossing the River Aa after a short excursion into the city of Bielefeld. The circular route then offers a particularly scenic entrance to Herford along the Werre river.

The tour runs for the most part on independent cycle paths or on asphalted farm tracks without significant car traffic. Only a total of 2.5 km of the route leads over roads with traffic.

If you want to drive to the route by car, you should not start in Herford, but use the parking lot at the Elverdissen outdoor pool, for example.
