From Wermsdorf to Glossen, you pass the Dölnitz dam and the Horstsee lake, where you can enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the landscape, across meadows and along streams. Embedded in the extensive forests of the Dahlener Heide recreation area is the state-approved resort of Wermsdorf. The Reformation was introduced in Wermsdorf, which at the time belonged to the Grimma district, as early as 1529. This is why Luther's followers often came to Mahlis for the Protestant church service. In the nearby town of Oschatz, people still adhered to the old faith. The cemetery in the Collm district is home to Saxony's oldest lime tree, over 1,000 years old, under which Luther is said to have rested.
