This section of the Luther Trail first leads through woodland and then through the orchards of Saxony's largest fruit-growing region. Hikers are accompanied by a magnificent sight, especially during the blossoming season. Fans of the narrow-gauge railroad will also get their money's worth here.

After Colditz, the trail leaves the Mulde Valley region and leads along small village roads past Podelwitz Castle through the Saxon fruit country. It continues through the idyllic Döllnitz Valley, always along the River Döllnitz, via Zschoppach and Ablass to the village of Glossen. In Glossen, the "Wilde Robert", a narrow-gauge railroad that takes you through the fruit country to Oschatz, awaits hikers. The towers of the 1000-year-old town of Mügeln can be seen from afar. Once in Mügeln, it is worth visiting the Altmügelner town church and the bishop's castle. The historic town center and the local history museum are also well worth a visit. Mügeln gained fame as the former episcopal seat of the diocese of Meissen. During the Reformation, the Mügeln region was under the rule of Bishop Johann IX von Haugwitz. He became a Protestant and gave up his office as bishop in 1581.
