Along the Korkenziehertrasse from Wuppertal Vohwinkel to Solingen
Vohwinkel train station is linked to the Korkenziehertrasse in Solingen via Vohwinkeler Strasse. The former railway line leads past the historic centre of Solingen Gräfrath with the German Blade Museum, through the city of Solingen and offers insights and connections to many places of interest. The turning to Müngsten (more or less in the city centre, in a residential area, to the left) is signposted.
Along the Bergbahntrasse to Schloss Burg
The panorama from the Theegartener Kopf viewing platform is impressive. Here there is a view over Solingen, Remscheid and Wuppertal. The route then heads along the Bergbahntrasse where trams to Wuppertal Ronsdorf used to run, down into the valley. The section through the Brückenpark Müngsten is a very special experience. First of all, the route heads under the highest railway bridge in Germany and then over the Wupper on the transporter bridge. Even more adventurous, is the route to Schloss Burg. The chair lift here helps you and your bike get up the mountain.
Along the Balkantrasse to Remscheid Lennep
With many magnificent views in the bag, the route heads first to Wermelskirchen and from there on the Balkantrasse to the beautiful old town of Remscheid Lennep.
