Have you ever seen a sky-blue moor frog? Or how the "cotton balls" of cotton grass sway in the wind? Here in the "Oppenweher Moor" you can experience rare animals and plants in all their diversity and beauty! Various circular hiking trails allow you to explore the moor and meadow landscape. In the "Moorblick" information pavilion you can learn more about the history of the moor. Guided excursions with the moor expert are possible by appointment at the Stemwede tourist information office.

Circular trail I: The long loop is 8.0 km long and crosses the central high moor areas as well as the bog birch groves in the drier edge area of the moor. The birdwatching stand offers a sheltered view over an artificial body of water into the central area of the moor. Start from the Moormann or Schafstall parking lot.
