Did you know? "Patthorst" is the name of the wooded area through which the hiking trail runs. "Hexenbrink" is the name of a former hill (Brink = hill) in Patthorst, which was removed decades ago. Nevertheless, this name is still used today for the coffee of the same name on the hiking trail and for the "Hexenpatt" (Patt = path).
Look forward to a varied circular trail with many different ground conditions. The sandy ground in particular is characteristic of the "Patthorst" forest. With no gradients to speak of, this trail is also suitable for a long walk.
You can also stop for refreshments at the Hexenbrink café along the way. The rest area opposite is ideal for an extensive picnic before continuing your hike.
Please note: The trail leads partly through the Foddenbach-Landbach nature reserve. We ask you not to leave the paths here in particular, to keep your dog on a lead, not to pick any plants and of course not to leave any garbage behind.

Directions & Parking facilities
As this is a circular hiking trail, you can start at any point along the trail. Limited parking spaces are available at the Hexenbrink coffee shop (Patthorster Straße 93, 33803 Steinhagen). There is a large parking lot near the hiking trail at the cemetery (Friedhofstraße, 33803 Steinhagen). "Die Patthorst" can also be easily reached on foot or by bike from Steinhagen town center.
