On a quiet, asphalted country road it leads along the Nister to the “End of the World Path”. There the river meanders picturesquely through steep, rocky slopes. On the way, the mountain falls in Kroppacher Switzerland are reminiscent of a pre-Alpine landscape and the suspension bridge near Helmeroth promises a little adventure. Afterwards, good fitness is required, as the way back to the Sieg runs through narrow and typical notched valleys, partly on gravel and natural paths over some mountain ridges.

Directions
We pass the hamlets of Weidacker and Nisterstein, drive through the village of Langenbach and past the Nistertal campsite until we cross the Nister for the second time shortly after the village of Helmeroth. Shortly afterwards we leave the asphalted path through a rock cut directly into the wild-looking meadow landscape of the Große Nister. We go up the Nister along a narrow meadow path to the suspension bridge at the Helmerother mill, where we have to get off and push the bike up a few steps and back down again. Nevertheless, the effort is worth it thanks to the spectacular stream crossing. We now go slightly uphill to the authentic village of Flögert, where we cross the Nister again over a narrow bridge. We continue cycling towards Altburg and then turn left onto a long climb towards Mörsbach. Shortly before the Birkenhof, at a high antenna, you have a unique panoramic view of the Westerwald. But be careful,
the highest point of the tour has not yet been reached. After a bit of left and right along small farm roads, past sports fields and barbecue huts, we head back into the forest, down into the Selbachtal and then steeply up again towards Tannenhof. Shortly before Tannenhof, at the top of the wind turbine, we reached the highest point of the tour at 430m above sea level. Passing terraced ponds we take the K124, on which we drive left down towards the hamlet of Neuhöfchen. From this hamlet, a narrow asphalt path leads steeply down into the Elbe valley. This section could just as easily be in the Allgäu. So please drive carefully. We cross the town of Bodenseifen and when we reach the bottom of the Elbbachtal, we turn right onto the L-278, only to immediately turn left again onto a narrow trail. Now it’s time to “all out” again and bite your teeth. It's a good 1.5 km up through the forest towards the town of Oberkrombach. With the exit from the forest, the last climb of this tour has now been completed. We turn left onto the K126, which leads slightly downhill through the village of Schönstein and past Schönstein Castle into the Elbbach valley. Down in the valley we turn right and then immediately right again over the hay bridge and are back at the starting point of the tour!
