- Start: Eitorf (Sieg) train station, Bahnhofstraße 32, 53783 Eitorf
- Destination: S-Bahn stop Rosbach (Sieg), Marktstraße, 51570 Windeck-Rosbach
Note: Due to water development measures in Windeck-Stromberg, there may be temporary disruptions on the Sieg cycle path until the end of July.
It is not far from Eitorf to Stromberg. It is worth unpacking your swimming trunks here, as there are several places in front of the railway bridge where you can swim and you are officially allowed to launch a canoe here. Continue by bike to Herchen. Just before the train station, the Waldhaus Herchen is located on a hill above the Sieg loop. Families are welcome to stay overnight here. The Kurparkcafé of the state-approved health resort serves delicious cakes and there is also a hostel. Children can go pedal boating and play mini golf in the immediate vicinity.
On the way towards Windeck you pass the small village of Hoppengarten. Directly on the country road 333 between Hoppengarten and Rossel there is a small bathing area that is popular with families. From there it is not far to Dattenfeld. Here it is worth taking a little detour to the Dattenfeld leisure park with a beautiful natural children's playground to let off steam. Another opportunity to swim not far from a rapid is along the route at a Siegbogen in Dreisel.
Then you reach Schladern again with strong pedals, here there is a waterfall that has a drop of 4 meters over several steps and is 84 meters wide in total. There is a beer garden right next to the waterfall, which is located on the former site of the Elmores copper works.
At the end of this last stage, you can take the train or stay at the Windeck-Rosbach youth hostel. It is surrounded by the largest closed forest area in the region and is a perfect place for nature lovers and little forest explorers to stay. If you want to travel a little further, the Panarbora youth hostel in Waldbröl will definitely have a bed for you and you can even climb a treetop path there. You can reach the hostel from Schaldern at junction 25 via the Panarbora cycle path, which does have numerous inclines.

Directions
