Ochsensee:

Somewhat off the beaten track is the 1.5-hectare Ochsensee lake, which is 4 to 5 meters deep. Located next to the Strotheniederung nature reserve, this body of water is not only an inviting place to linger, an information board also offers the opportunity to learn about a variety of native fish species.


Lippesee:

A real highlight is the Lippesee, which offers peace and relaxation, but also a wide range of opportunities for activities. A relaxing break by the water is just as possible here as stand-up paddling or action at the nearby water ski lake. The restaurants in the area invite you to take a short break.
 

Schloß Neuhaus:

The baroque garden at Neuhaus Castle was partially reconstructed for the State Garden Show in 1994 and the floodplains of the Alme, Lippe and Pader rivers were turned into an extensive recreational landscape. Now a member of the European Garden Heritage Network, the castle and alluvial park has more than just horticultural attractions. There are also adventure playgrounds, museums, art exhibitions and numerous open-air events.
 


Lake Padersee:

The 2.1 km long path around Lake Padersee is perfect for running, walking and playing. The fish ponds are also close by, offering further opportunities for play and adventure, including a climbing park. And finally, the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, the largest computer museum in the world, is not far away.

The garden show grounds await you in Bad Lippspringe. With the floral splendor of the Kaiser-Karls-Park and the adjoining healing forest, the area designed for the 2017 State Garden Show offers everything you need to spend relaxing hours. There is also an attractive program of events, the diversity of which appeals to tourists and locals, young and old alike.
