The ideal circular tour to feast on and enjoy during the asparagus season in early summer! The Delbrück asparagus route leads past numerous asparagus fields and many asparagus farms in the Delbrücker Land region. The restaurants along the way prepare the royal vegetable for you in traditional or particularly creative variations. Enjoy your meal!

On the 33-kilometre route, you can explore the interesting history of Delbrück asparagus, discover the asparagus fields of the Delbrücker Land region, many asparagus farms and other sights. Simply follow the directions and off you go.

The entire route runs on farm tracks and only rarely on roads with car traffic, making it suitable for families with small children. If you follow the signposts, you will be guided past the seven asparagus farms. There you can see the quality of Delbrück asparagus for yourself. The Reller Chapel, which was built in 1869, as well as the burial mounds at Westerrellerhof and the Boker Canal, which is ideal for a picnic, are well worth a visit.

The Delbrücker Land is ideal for the white vegetable. The warm sandy soil, the groundwater conditions and the mineral composition of the soil in Delbrück play a decisive role in the taste of the asparagus. This is why Delbrück asparagus is now popular far beyond the region's borders. With a cultivation area of around 100 hectares, Delbrück is not a large cultivation area, but in terms of quality it is one of the top addresses in Germany.

The asparagus season begins (depending on the weather) at the end of April/beginning of May and traditionally ends on St. John's Day, June 24.
