Church
The oldest traces of the church date back to a basilica from the middle of the 8th century, the time of Charlemagne. The first stone church was followed by Romanesque extensions, of which the first five storeys of the tower and the two "wide" pillars are visible evidence. From the middle of the 15th century, the building continued to grow in high and late Gothic and Baroque styles. A richly decorated vault painting from the 16th century, in which various animals and a jester are hidden, the impressive star vault, the Holy Sepulchre from 1514 and the "Pillar Madonna" are special testimonies.
Later, the richly decorated sacrament house was added from a destroyed church. In 1913, the church was extended in the historicist style. The two wall frescoes bear witness to the Nazi era. In 1961, the colourful Apocalypse windows by Pauli were added.
