Built in 1960/1961, the church impresses with its architecture. Originally built as a tent roof church, a bell tower was added in 1980.

This bell tower is a free-standing wooden shingle tower with a height of 20 metres. It is equipped with three bells, which can also be operated remotely. Since 2002, the bell tower has been covered with Alaskan cedar shingles. Even though the church was originally intended as a temporary structure, it is now an integral part of the Bad Honnef district of Aegidienberg.
