The original Romanesque castle chapel was consecrated as St. George's Chapel in 1676. It was the first garrison church in Saxony and was rededicated in 2000 after extensive renovation.
On fixed dates there is "Sunday music in the garrison church" (15-minute concerts on the Jehmlich organ).

Openings
The church is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Day of Prayer and Repentance and on the Advent weekends.
From November to March, you can admire the interior of the church through the glazed entrance door.
