Heywoodpark - better known to Peine residents as Schwanensee - is a 14.6-hectare park, making it the largest park in the town of Peine. The lake itself is around three hectares in size. The name goes back to the town twinning between Peine and Heywood (Great Britain).
The popular local recreation area offers many green spaces and seating areas. The gravel path around the lake is not only popular with recreational joggers, but also with schools that hold their sports lessons here. Otherwise, it is ideal for a walk and offers many opportunities to watch the ducks swim right by the water.
For those who prefer a more sporty approach, there is a disc golf course with twelve holes. The appropriate equipment can be hired from Peine Marketing for a small fee. You can play every day between 8 am and 10 pm.
