Until 1876, the small late Gothic church of St. Lucia, with its characteristic tower, stood on the small hill at the eastern edge of Ferschweiler. Almost 50 years earlier, the village had received a new, larger church not far away, which is still the parish church today. From the old nave, only masonry remains today, but the tower with its characteristic stepped gable has survived and is a notable monument. The small village church was intricately built in the late Gothic style, with a vaulted ceiling and windows featuring beautiful tracery. Its floor plan is well recognizable, and individual elements of the architecture and furnishings can still be seen. A window lintel bears the date 1534; however, the stepped gable of the tower was only created in the 18th century.
