Odagsen lies around 4 km south of the town of Einbeck, nestled between gentle, woodless hills.

Odagsen lies at the junction of the Rebbe (source near Dörrigsen and mouth south of Einbeck into the Ilme)and Aue
Today approx. 362 inhabitants (as of 02.01.2024) live in the 132 m above sea level.

Culture and sights:
  • Church of St. Pankratius: the first stone church was built in 1183, the present church was rebuilt in 1750 - 1752 and contains a baptismal angel from the 17th century

  • Luther Oak: historical natural monument, at the end of the village in the direction of Immensen, planted on November 10, 1883 for the 400th birthday of Martin Luther. Martin Luther's 400th birthday


Cycling:
The Cycling Trail Salt and Castles leads around Odagsen. You could easily make a detour to Odagsen on a cycle tour.
