A church in Bleckede was first mentioned in a document in 1272, when Duke Johann von Lüneburg acquired the right of patronage through an exchange. Due to dilapidation, the old church was demolished in 1765 and replaced in 1766/67 by a new, simple rectangular hall church in the late Baroque style, which was designed by the master builder O. H. von Bonn. The church tower dates from the 17th century. There is a Pietà from the late 15th century in the entrance area of the tower. The sacristy in the choir is designed in neo-Gothic style. The rectangular interior of the nave is divided into a central nave and two aisles by the supports of the galleries, with the central nave having a wooden barrel vault. Some items from the previous church, such as the late Gothic crucifixion group, the chalice-shaped baptismal font and the pulpit, were donated by the castellan around 1600. The pulpit altar, which is framed by columns, was built in 1766 using a pulpit from the early 17th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, the superintendency of the Bleckede inspection was connected to the parish. The organ with 26 stops was built in 1977 by Emil Hammer Orgelbau in the baroque organ façade.
