After having been made a secular building after the Reformation, a girls’ school was constructed on the foundations of the western nave. The building was probably called “Blue Apron” because of the blue school aprons. It has been a residential property since 1829. The northern tower was also demolished in 1829. The southern tower still contains the church bells.

Weida liegt an den Bundesstraßen B 92 und B 175. Aus Richtung Gera bzw. Plauen/Greiz nehmen Sie die B 92. Von der A 9 Berlin-Nürnberg kommend, nehmen Sie die Ausfahrt Lederhose und fahren über die B 175 bis Weida.
Parken
Wir empfehlen den öffentlichen Parkplatz am Semmelweispark (Wallstraße). Von hier sind alle historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar.
