Wallfahrtskirche Weidingen

Church
For more than 700 years, people have been pilgrimaging to the Weidinger Marian Pilgrimage Church from the 13th century.

The pilgrimage church in Weidingen was built in the 13th century and rebuilt as a choir church in the 18th century. Of note is the Pietà at the main altar (circa 1450), the baptismal font in the chancel, the stone altar with the Pietà (circa 1650), and the patron saints in the north aisle, as well as the altarpiece on the north wall featuring the prominent "Marshals of God" Hubertus, Antonius, Cornelius, Quirinius, and the women Barbara and Lucia.

For more than 700 years, people have been pilgrimaging to the Marian pilgrimage church. The pilgrimages usually take place in the months of March/April.

A visit to the pilgrimage church is recommended during a hike on the "Wallfährte Weidingen" , a premium hiking trail of the NaturWanderPark Delux.
