This junction route is an easy circular route and just right for anyone seeking a nature-oriented break. It circles around Cologne-Bonn Airport along the Königsforst and Wahner Heide. The Wahner Heide is one of the most important heathland landscapes in Europe and also the richest in species among nature reserves in NRW. At the visitor portals Gut Leidenhausen and Burg Wissem, you will learn much interesting information about the special features of this landscape. The short detour to the Turmhof portal is also worthwhile. Those seeking inspiration beyond the natural experience should also not miss the picture book museum at Burg Wissem and the former water castle Eulenbroich.
