Olbersdorfer See - Created from a former brown coal open-cast mine, about 130 hectares of land have been renatured here. From May to October 1999, the 2nd Saxon State Garden Show Zittau-Olbersdorf took place here with the theme "Landscape after mining". For subsequent use, many facilities were created to serve recreation and tourism. From 2000 onwards, the first tourist facilities were established. In addition to a campsite, you will find a hotel, a restaurant with beer garden, a beach snack bar, a beach shop with bicycle, boat, and beach chair rental, as well as a sports & leisure center with a tennis hall and bowling alley.
In the recreational area FREIZEIT-OASE Olbersdorfer See, there are naturally more opportunities to actively shape your free time.
