From Tharandt to the Somsdorfer gorge

From the station in Tharandt, walk a bit towards the town. In front of the first house on the right side of the street is the entrance to the Brüderweg, which gently ascends along a hillside path towards Freital-Hainsberg. Upon reaching the town entrance, follow the green stripe marking to Somsdorfer Straße; opposite the Freital-Hainsberg West stop is the entrance to Heilsberger Park. The ENSO energy experience trail marking leads along the mill race to the entrance of the Rabenauer Grund at a weather mushroom. Alternatively, you can reach Freital-Coßmannsdorf station of the Weißeritztalbahn via Hainsberger Straße and the street "An der Spinnerei." Passing the shopping and leisure center, you arrive at the Red Weißeritz and via a bridge also reach the weather mushroom. The yellow stripe marking leads through the Devil's Gorge to Somsdorf and back to the starting point in Tharandt. Note: The path through the Somsdorfer gorge requires sure-footedness and is not suitable for strollers.
