The trail is easy to walk as it runs along cycle paths and paved roads. The trail runs between various lakes to Neukieritzsch, where the Luther memorial on the town's market square commemorates the former Zöllsdorf estate. Katharina von Bora farmed this estate and produced food for the large household in Wittenberg. Luther had given her the estate as a gift in 1541 and it later became her widow's residence.

Directions
In Borna, you start in Reichsstraße and then cross the market to Kirchstraße. Cross Brühl and Pegauer Tor to reach Abtsdorfer Straße. Follow this street to Lobstädter Straße. Following Lobstädter Straße, the Luther Trail leads past the village of Lobstädt to Neukieritzsch. In Neukieritzsch, turn into Alte Poststraße, where this stage ends.
