NATURE AND GLASS IN FOCUS

The town of Rheinbach is known for its glass production. In the glass museum, visitors can marvel at a colorful range of glass objects that could only be created through the targeted use of fire. In addition to the glass museum, the Himmeroder Hof also houses one of the four nature park centers of the Rhineland Nature Park. Two interesting tours start from there: the “Rheinbach Rallye” leads through the medieval town center (quiz sheet is available at the nature park center) and the approx. 12 km long “Rheinbacher-Wald-Runde” runs along the ruins of the Waldkapelle monastery and the pilgrim ponds. You can find more information about the route under Tour tip.
