Cycle day trip from Andernach to Mayen

Get away from it all for a day and let the gentle breeze caress you - by e-bike on the Vulkanpark cycle path from the station in Andernach is an experience of freedom and space.
While the volcanic cones of the Eifel glide past on the horizon, the route climbs moderately uphill on comfortable, well-maintained cycle paths. There is much to discover along the cycle route... be it one of the cozy Eifel villages or the Geyser Centre in Andernach with the largest cold-water geyser in Europe right at the start.
Inspired by its exuberant temperament, you can be carried to the Thürer Wiesen nature reserve or learn how people once used the volcanic tuff of the Eastern Eifel in the Meurin Roman mine. For a delicious break, the beer garden of the Vulkanbrauerei brewery in Mendig is the perfect detour off the cycle path.
The e-bike tour comes to a leisurely end with a stroll through Mayen's old town before heading to the Ostbahnhof train station to take the train back to Andernach.
