This bike route offers everything a traveler expects on a romantic Rhine journey along 33 km, always following the Rhine Cycle Route: castles on the heights, river landscapes with islands in the middle, beer gardens inviting you to linger, and pure history in picturesque town centers. Shaped by travel reports that brought the first visitors to the Siebengebirge at the beginning of the 19th century, the landscape between Königswinter and Linz became the epitome of Rhine Romanticism. Later, the young Federal Republic joined with its influential personalities, whose residences today present contemporary history in museums.
