Weinhübel - a rural district of Görlitz, is the starting point for the approximately 24-kilometer tour around Berzdorf Lake. Here you will still find a historic village green, renovated half-timbered houses and typical farm gardens. Continue cycling to Kunnerwitz. It can be recommended to visit the Erlöserkirche (Schinkel), before cycling to Jauernick-Buschbach, which is an idyllically situated "mountain village" with a unique view of Berzdorf Lake. The Catholic and Protestant churches are worth seeing. On Ascension Day, the traditional "marriage market" has been held here for decades. The tour continues via Tauchritz to Hagenwerder. Here, a bucket-wheel excavator reminds us of the former lignite mining. The site can still be visited today. Between Tauchritz and Hagenwerder two swimming sites invite you to refresh yourself. The route returns to Görlitz along the Oder-Neisse cycle path.
