Wladimir Kaminer, born in Moscow in 1967, trained as a sound engineer for theater and radio and then studied dramaturgy at the Moscow Theater Institute. He has lived in Berlin since 1990 and has made a name for himself as an author and organizer of the "Russendisko". His works, including "The Secret Life of Germans", offer humorous insights into German culture and society. In his book "The Secret Life of Germans", Kaminer illuminates the hidden facets of everyday life in Germany with loving patience and friendly curiosity. He shows that what is special is often right on our doorstep and invites us to rediscover our own neighbors and traditions.
