For its fifth “Küchenparty” on November 29, 2026, the Michelin-starred restaurant Kesselhaus in Osnabrück will bring together five guest chefs from Germany and Austria, including Hamburg-based three-star chef Kevin Fehling. Host Thayarni Garthoff will be hosting the event for the first time alongside her new executive chef, Constantin Krauß.
Ever since its first edition, the Kitchen Party has been a staple event on the Kesselhaus calendar. Once a year, owner and host Thayarni Garthoff opens her kitchen to colleagues from Michelin-starred restaurants and invites them to an afternoon that combines culinary craftsmanship with personal interaction. For the fifth edition on November 29, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m., she is hosting the event for the first time alongside her new executive chef, Constantin Krauß, who took over as head chef in August 2026. For 565 euros per person, guests will enjoy an afternoon on this first Sunday of Advent that includes all food and drinks in one price. The Kesselhaus is accepting reservations via its website www.kesselhaus-os.de are accepted.

Five guest chefs from four Michelin-starred restaurants
Under this year’s theme, Constantin Krauß is cooking alongside five chef friends. The common thread leads to Hamburg’s The Table Kevin Fehling, which the 2026 Michelin Guide has once again awarded three stars. From there, Kevin Fehling himself will travel to Osnabrück, accompanied by his co-chef Mathias Bath. Also from the same team is Dennis Ilies, who cooked at The Table Kevin Fehling for twelve years before taking over the two-starred Tannenhof in St. Anton am Arlberg. Jens Madsen and Nicolas La Rocca are traveling from Bavaria: Madsen led Munich’s The Cloud by Käfer from scratch to two stars and the “Opening of the Year 2026” award, while La Rocca holds one star at edl.eins in Deggendorf.

One afternoon, multiple Michelin-starred kitchens
Starting at 1 p.m., guests will experience in a single afternoon a program that would otherwise require several trips across Germany and Austria. Since November 29 falls on the first Sunday of Advent, the culinary celebration also serves as a festive prelude to the Christmas season. Amid brick walls, high ceilings, and a glass-enclosed kitchen, an event like this truly comes into its own at the Kesselhaus. The courses are paired with wines from France, including Pol Roger Champagne and Chablis from Billaud-Simon. The Kesselhaus serves the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Château Brun from a double magnum, and rare bottlings of Chartreuse are available as a digestif.

Hostess Thayarni Garthoff
For the now-legendary kitchen party, host Thayarni Garthoff brings together her restaurant, her team, and a rotating lineup of chefs and winemakers year after year: “I’m grateful that we’re able to host the Kitchen Party for the fifth time this year and that we have such wonderful partners every year who make the afternoon unforgettable. The fact that it’s also so popular with our guests makes me especially proud,” says Garthoff.
