Osterode Light Festival 2026
From November 25 to December 23, 2026, the KUNST Am Schilde Gallery in Osterode am Harz once again invites visitors to the “Osteroder Lichterzauber.” On the ground floor of the gallery building, a temporary Christmas gallery will be set up, where several artisans will present their handmade creations and offer them for sale.
Anyone looking for unique Christmas gifts, lovingly crafted one-of-a-kind pieces, or special souvenirs will find what they’re looking for here. Instead of mass-produced goods, you’ll find handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces created with creativity, craftsmanship, and great attention to detail.
The Osterod “Magic of Lights” offers the opportunity to browse for special gifts in a cozy atmosphere, discover arts and crafts, and support the creative people behind the works.
Art and Crafts Under One Roof
A visit is doubly worthwhile: Running parallel to the Lichterzauber, artist Laura Andrea Ballhause from Clausthal-Zellerfeld is presenting her solo exhibition “FLIEẞEND” on the first floor.
In four exhibition rooms, she presents colorful works created using fluid art and acrylic pouring techniques, which captivate viewers with their exciting textures and surprising forms. All of the artworks in the exhibition are also available for purchase.
The Osterode “Lichterzauber” can be wonderfully combined with a visit to the Osterode Christmas market and a stroll through the city center.
