The inn in the moor directly at the Torschiff harbour

Our inn is always worth a visit! Many old pictures bear witness to the times when the peat ships moored in front of the inn and paid duty for their onward journey and, of course, to the history of our inn, which it feels has always existed here. Here, this is the Torfschiffhafen Platz on the Oste-Hamme Canal, directly in the Kollbecksmoor, a foothill of the Teufelsmoor.

In addition to the events throughout the year, there are many other excursion packages that we offer for groups in cooperation with the Findorffserben association. The following activities can be combined with each other and/or with catering (e.g. coffee and cake, dinner). You can find more information at www.findorffserben.de

Plan wagon ride with the tractor through Kollbecksmoor

Do you prefer solid ground under your feet? Then how about a ride in a cosy covered wagon? The vintage tractor and Kremser will take you through the centre of Kollbecksmoor, where you will also learn a lot about the land and its people. In October and November, for example, crane tours are organised in cooperation with NABU.

Acquiring a moor passport

This award is not about learning, but about fun tasks that have to be mastered in a group, such as peat moving, peat wrestling, peat throwing, target shooting with a slingshot, milking competitions, peat sawing, singing on a raised hide and much more. Afterwards, participants can look forward to a proper bog naming ceremony and the presentation of a personalised bog passport.
