Are you looking for a cozy pub with a beer garden? - Then you've come to the right place: the Hofgarten has become a real favorite of the Aschaffenburg gastronomy scene over the past few decades. In summer, you can sit outside in the adjoining large beer garden right next to the historic Schöntal Park; there is regular live music. And it's also worth a visit in winter: the building that now houses the Hofgarten was built as an orangery at the end of the 18th century. The Portuguese master builder Emanuel Joseph d'Herigoyen was responsible for this. During the 1950s, the building was converted into a cinema and restaurant.
Today, the menu includes Bavarian-Hessian classics such as veal sausage, roast onion and green sauce as well as pizzas, tarte flambée and salads. In the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, in the rooms of the former cinema, the "Kabarett im Hofgarten" by TV cabaret artist Urban Priol offers clever entertainment.
