The Horster watermill, a magnificent relic of bygone times that is not only excellently preserved but also still fully functional, captivates families, cyclists, canoeists and walkers alike. This historic mill, whose origins date back to 1529 or even further, is owned by the Schmanns family, who run the "Zur Horster Mühle" restaurant. In the restaurant's modern conservatory, guests seeking peace and relaxation can enjoy a breathtaking view of the majestic waterwheel. Horster Mühle often marks the end of canoe tours that start in Jesteburg. There is a small "beach" about 100 meters from the mill where the canoes can be easily lifted out of the water. The mill is also an integral part of the Seeve cycle path.
