The history of this traditional house goes back a long way. The oldest known owner of the inn at that time was listed in the Gifhorn hereditary treasure book around 1666. The inn even took over the Gifhorn postal service for a time. Since 1877, the "Deutsches Haus" has been known as a hotel.
