Jimmy Orpheus
Jimmy Orpheus is the name of a black and white film by director Roland Klick from 1966. There is a café with the same name in the west of Leipzig that serves delicious cakes, aromatic coffee and hearty snacks. How did the café get this unusual name? It belongs to the WestEnd program video store, which is located right next door and where cinema fans and film connoisseurs like to hang out. A café run by movie buffs for movie buffs and connoisseurs naturally needs a suitable name and so the operators came up with Jimmy Orpheus. The cozy atmosphere of the small café is not only appealing to film fanatics, however, which is why everyone is welcome here for a drink and a chat.
